As a part of visiting her home town, Portland, Marilyn  gave a reading at Lewis and Clark University on Monday, September 29, sponsored by their Inclusion and Multicultural Engagement program.  She also read at Willamette University on Oct 2,  2014, inspiring one of the students to sing a poem.

Marilyn was interviewed by OPB, the local Public Television station, and read One Child Has Brown Eyes from Hard Love Province.
